About this Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Engineer to design and develop evaluation kits and reference designs for Infineon Microcontroller devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating schematic designs using Cadence, as well as bringing up and testing new Microcontroller Units (MCUs). This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative technologies.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Design and develop evaluation kits and reference designs for new MCUs, including schematic design, PCB layout, and prototype testing
  • Design schematic using Cadence, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications
  • Bring up and test MCU boards, including debugging and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and system engineering, for integration of evaluation kits with overall system
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, datasheets, and test reports
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality design and reliability of evaluation kits
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve reference designs and development.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and communication Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 2~3 years of experience in hardware design and development

  • Proficiency in Cadence schematic design tools, including OrCAD and Allegro

  • Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design principles.

  • Strong understanding of basic serial communication protocols, and extended communication protocols such as SMIF, SDIO, CAN, MIPI, etc.

  • Strong understanding on power supply and motor control designs.

  • Experience with bring-up and testing, including debugging of hardware and software issues

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines

  • Nice to Have:

  • Experience with PCB layout and design, including knowledge of signal and power integrity principles

  • Familiarity with programming languages, such as C, C++, or Python

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including FCC, CE, and RoHS
