The Field Service Technician is responsible for the repair, assembly, disassembly, maintenance of Horizontal Pumping Systems. The technician will ensure that pumps are operating efficiently, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performinspection, assembly, disassembly, repair, and maintenanceof horizontal pumping systems (HPS).
- Diagnose and troubleshootmechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issuesin pumps and associated equipment.
- Conductalignment, testingof pumps to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize tools such asFluke meters, laser alignment tools, and vibration analyzers for diagnostics.
- Work withVFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLCs, and control panelsto support pump automation and efficiency.
- Performoil changes, seal replacements, and bearing inspectionsas part of routine maintenance.
- Maintain and submit in a timely manner, accurateservice reports, maintenance logs, and inventory records.
- Followsafety protocols, environmental regulations, and company proceduresto ensure a safe work environment.
- Performon-site installations and commissionof pump systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and field personnel tooptimize pump performance.
- Travel to locations outside of the Permian Basin as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver’s license.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner.
- Previous experiencein horizontal pumping systems, industrial pumps, or related mechanical work preferred.
- Knowledge ofelectrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interprettechnical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience working withFluke meters, Yaskawa VFDs, and pump alignment toolsis a plus.
- Must be able tolift heavy equipment (50+ lbs), handle physically demanding tasks.
- Strong commitment tosafety procedures and best practices.
Preferred Certifications:
- PEC
- One Basin One Way certification(North Dakota)
- Ability to obtain additional certifications as needed.
Work Environment:
- Primarilyfieldwork with some work at the Midland facility as needed.
- Exposure tooilfield equipment, high-pressure systems.
- Exposure to all types of weather.
- May requireovertime, on-call rotations, and emergency repairs.
