About the role
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead cybersecurity engineering activities for our robotic arm and industrial automation systems. This role focuses on system-level cybersecurity architecture, risk assessment, secure development of lifecycle practices, and compliance with applicable regulations and industrial security standards, including the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and IEC 62443.
The role works closely with systems, software, hardware, and safety engineering teams to ensure that cybersecurity is designed across the full product lifecycle—from architecture to certification and deployment.
Your Responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and review system-level cybersecurity requirements with full traceability across product architecture
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity architecture concepts for embedded, networked, and cloud-connected robotic systems
- Perform cybersecurity risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis (e.g., STRIDE, attack trees)
- Ensure compliance with IEC 62443 for industrial robots and automation systems
- Drive compliance activities related to the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), including security-by-design and lifecycle security obligations
- Define and implement secure development lifecycle (SDL) practices in collaboration with software and systems teams
- Specify security controls such as authentication, authorization, secure communication, key management, and secure boot concepts
- Create and maintain cybersecurity work products required for compliance and audits (e.g., cybersecurity plan, risk assessments, security case documentation)
- Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and safety teams to ensure alignment between safety and security requirements
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- Strong experience in cybersecurity engineering for embedded systems, industrial automation, or robotics
- Solid understanding of IEC 62443 and secure industrial control system design principles
- Familiarity with EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements and secure product lifecycle expectations
- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability management methodologies
- Knowledge of embedded systems, networking protocols, and secure software development practices
- Ability to understand system architecture spanning hardware, firmware, and software layers
