Syntegon Packaging Technology, LLC based in New Richmond, Wisconsin is part of the Syntegon Group. We provide innovative, seamless, high-tech packaging solutions for the food industry. Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:   In this position, the ideal candidate will commission packaging machines and systems in house, then on to our customer's site. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for providing the internal and external commissioning of packaging machines (hardware and software).  Ranging from set-ups and test runs to the fine tuning of the software and acceptance run of our complex machines.
  • Expert level in quickly troubleshooting and servicing machines; locating problems quickly and developing solutions with the support of the technical departments.
  • Leads efforts with the optimization and further development of complex packing machines.
  • Supports and provides instruction and training of customer personnel internally and externally as required.
  • Represents the company in a professional manner, acting as an ambassador for Syntegon to ensure a good working relationship with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS;

  • Must possess an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or have 2+ years of vocational training and have a minimum of 2 years of direct work experience with Syntegon model Wrapper, Robot, or Carton erector/loader/closer.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years in the Packaging industry designing installing and troubleshooting PLC motion control software and hardware including experience in repair/maintenance of capital equipment or electronics such as servo drives, HMI's and programmable controllers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ladder logic as well as other machine control software and hardware.
  • Demonstrated advanced mechanical, electrical, and software skills.
  • Ability to support carious software control platforms for complete packaging lines.
  • Proficiency in robotic vision systems, software and hardware configurations and production parameter setup.
  • Proficient with effectively communicate via written or verbal with all levels of personnel from production to management.

ADDITIONAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift up to 30 lbs. (above 30 lbs. with assistance) and work in any position for an extended period of time.

  • Work with moving parts and mechanical hazards and from elevated heights.
