Sunday Robotics is a Silicon Valley-based startup founded in April 2024 by Tony Zhao and Cheng Chi. The company focuses on developing Memo, a fully autonomous wheeled home robot designed to handle repetitive household chores, allowing users to reclaim their time. Sunday emerged from stealth in November 2025, securing $35 million in funding and employing a team of over 30 engineers, designers, and researchers dedicated to turning academic robotics research into practical products. Memo is the flagship product, featuring a soft, wipeable design with Lego-like hands and a silicone shell for safety. It autonomously performs tasks such as loading dishwashers, clearing tables, and making espresso, operating continuously without the need for teleoperation. The robot learns and improves through imitation learning and has access to an expanding Skill Library. Sunday also utilizes innovative technology like the Skill Capture Glove™, which captures data on human hand movements to enhance Memo's capabilities. The company aims to make Memo accessible to busy households, with a beta program set to launch in late 2026.
