Briar Cliff University

Briarcliffe College was a private, for-profit career-oriented college located in New York, established in 1966. Initially a one-year business school in Hicksville, it expanded to offer associate and bachelor's degrees in various fields, including business, accounting, and criminal justice. The college gained authorization to provide two-year degrees in 1979 and later acquired Grumman Data Systems Institute, relocating its main campus to Woodbury. The college emphasized practical education and career preparation, with programs designed to equip students for entry-level positions in growing sectors. It operated multiple campuses, including locations in Bethpage, Patchogue, and Queens, and reached a peak enrollment of around 2,000 students.
