Test Technician
Essential Job Functions:
Perform proactive quality assurance responsibilities to ensure manufactured product complies to design records, including UL standards. This includes, but is not limited to in-process checks and final product check out using custom software programs, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other test equipment.
Interface with UL LLC to proactively manage our companies' UL files and ensure compliance to UL standards.
Implement programs, tools, and initiatives to ensure quality products and services, such as manufacturing policies and documents, quality metrics, and coordinating functional groups to implement quality initiatives or changes.
Building test fixtures, computer set-up, programming, editing, troubleshooting, and repair of components under test.
Lead root cause investigation and comprehensive corrective action on warranty returns and internal quality issues.
Creating and updating test procedures.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product.
Recommends change in wiring or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
Enter information on production records, logs, and other report forms.
Interfaces with engineers, technicians, and occasionally customers.
Work independently and collaboratively.
Keep facilities, materials, and work area clean and organized, exercising care in their use.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate’s degree in electrical engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience. Or equivalent military experience.
High School Diploma and 10+ years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Skill Requirements:
Must have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, an able problem solver, and detail oriented.
Investigate and resolve operational or product problems.
Read and understand complex electrical schematics, engineering prints, and specifications.
Debug and correct quality issues with complex electrical circuits.
PC skills; Microsoft Office applications and other applicable applications.
Understanding of Quality systems is required. LEAN manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
Be able to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with BACnet/IP and Modbus protocols is a plus.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
