Technical Robot Product Manager

Who You Are

As our new Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new robot product opportunities while defining how the new products will fit into the market. You will manage both their introduction and provide product / application support once they have been introduced. This is a technical role requiring your expertise in identifying and resolving customer concerns with robot and software product issues and/or limitations. You will regularly develop the specifications of new robot products, execute test plans and deliver competitive product analysis and reporting.

How It’s Done

• Perform market analysis or other related analysis intended to identify opportunities for new robot products or required modifications to existing robot products
• Develop technical marketing tools and pricing recommendations
• Maintain assigned product models-mechanical portions of FAC Online Corporate Price List (CPQ), a critical communications channel within FAC and to our integrator partners
• Identify and support beta/lead users and other activities required as a part of a successful product introduction
• Evaluate the feasibility of using new or existing robot products, provide customer demonstrations, and support proposal development and related activities required to successfully apply our robot products
• Oversight operations within the General Industry and Automotive Applications Lab
• Execute small development efforts or support our internal development groups in the execution of larger development efforts in conjunction with our marketing organization

What You Need

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in two or more of the following – robot programming, robot system components design and/or prototyping and product management
• Experience with 2D and 3D design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Experience in mechanical engineering (design, prototype testing)
• Demonstrated an ability to identify and define robot products problems or needs that could be solved with improvements to new robot designs or feature improvements of existing robots

What Would Be Even Better

• Master’s degree in a related field
• 6+ years of experience in process/systems engineering
• 6+ years of work experience in robotic simulation using one or more of the software tools listed above
