Job Description Summary

What impact you’ll make

Work for a manufacturing program supporting existing and new robotic, automated, semi-automated, and measurement systems, with responsibility for manufacturing process development for NPI and continuous process improvement. Leads and develops the team while working closely with the Global Process Engineering (GPE) team to ensure alignment with global standards, document process changes, and drive fixture, program, cycle time, EHS, and cost-of-quality improvements. Ensures accurate process documentation and production control data, including times and routings, and implements productivity and control measures to support manufacturing performance. Actively contributes to Lean initiatives and applies Six Sigma tools to improve process capability, efficiency, and effectiveness. The role requires strong engineering judgment, moderate autonomy, and significant input into priorities, while influencing functional approaches, programs, and ways of working.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Create and implement the automation and robotics strategy across the site organization
  • Lead and develop the day-to-day activities of the automation and robotics team
  • Design, develop, prototype and test innovative automated solutions and robotic systems and components.
  • Integrate hardware, software, and sensors (such as LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs) into automation platforms.
  • Program robots for specific tasks, including motion control, path planning, and autonomous navigation.
  • Integrate all forms of industrial automation devices into plc logic (e.g. motion, vision, touch, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical)
  • Ensure troubleshooting and debugging complex automation and robotic systems, issues related to hardware and software are timely resolved.
  • Lead simulations and tests to validate the performance and reliability of automation systems under real-world manufacturing production conditions.
  • Lead the execution of the new technology implementation in Automation and robotics, identify additional machine requirements due to capability shortfalls.
  • Bring new ideas and positive support to the current processes with Automation and / or robotics solutions.
  • Lead and solve safety, quality and technology related issues on Automation and robotics systems.
  • Implement productivity actions in order to improve the process and respect objectives with Automation and / or robotics solution.
  • Monitor critical enablers used in automation (tools, fixtures, machines, software, etc.). Collect and evaluate requests, equipment related improvement opportunities. Manage ordering, support implementation.
  • Participates in Indirect material specifications / tests.
  • Monitor/organize required trainings and qualifications for operators.
  • Support the engineering team by technology experience of automation.
  • Take lead role and actively participate in Lean initiative, support AWO actions to completion.
  • Ensure daily product/manufacturing support in relevant areas.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Significant manufacturing experience
  • Fluent in Hungarian and in English
  • Proficient in industrial robotics (e.g., cobots, industrial arms, AGVs/AMRs).
  • Proficient in PLC design, sensor/actuator integration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in mechanical industry, automation, offline programing (heavy industry ideally) and robotics frameworks (e.g., ROS/ROS2) and Linux-based development.
  • Proficiency in robotic programming languages and software (e.g., RobotStudio, WorkVisual).
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, NX, CREO) and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Experience of data capture integration in manufacturing environments with IT networks and digital systems.
