Robotics Software Engineer

We are seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to help build the infrastructure, testing frameworks, and system integration tools that support advanced robotics and intelligent technologies operating in real-world environments.

Type:* Contract-to-Hire (6-month initial engagement)

Pay:* $60-$70/hr W2

Location:* San Jose, CA (onsite to start, hybrid after ramp)

Note:* Unable to support F1, STEM OPT, H1B, or C2C arrangements at this time.

Responsibilities:*

• Build and maintain software infrastructure supporting testing, validation, and system integration efforts• Support and maintain robotics integration and testing environments, including ROS-based workflows• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation, reliability, and deployment workflows• Support software and hardware integration across complex systems• Contribute to backend services, tooling, and platform capabilities used by engineering teams• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency

• Strong C++ development experience• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines• Strong backend engineering fundamentals• System design and software architecture experience• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments

• ROS / ROS2 experience• Robotics, embedded systems, or hardware integration experience• Python scripting and automation• Familiarity with Go or Node.js
