YOUR TASKS
Overall responsibilities and duties:
- Coordinating and actively managing one Operations project as the core team member to ensure an excellent launch of new products
- Ensure the full transparency within assigned projects, proactively reporting to different management levels (e.g. Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Project Manager), escalation regarding HELLA instructions if necessary
The main missions of the role are:
- A Project Management
- Working within the project teams according to the Hella PEP regulations as the Operations core team member
- Agreeing and following up targets with the Project manager in terms of quality, costs and timing in agreement with the superior and taking existing processes and methods into consideration. Providing timely project decisions and identifying critical paths in order to establish prioritized actions
- Tracking that the project targets are being achieved or overachieved simultaneously or with the priority to selected dimension(s). Be able to focus on the most relevant deliverables (e.g. Functional Safety requirements)
- Applying the Hella-standards, processes, methods and tools in the field of project management, and being able to apply them accordingly through the project lifetime
- Coordinating and monitoring project maturity, internal tasks / work packages within the production team by using predefined methods and tools and HELLA standards
- Actively identifying claims potential resulting from engineering changes. Maintaining a valid status on engineering changes (e.g. change requests) with regards to their effects on the project targets
- Understanding and knowing the product specifications and manufacturing process to the extent that they build a basis for profound decisions for the project manager to manage his project. Reflecting the effects of the decisions on the other departments (e.g. Operations, Purchasing) within Hella
- Coordinating the bidding process and supporting and realization of make or buy decisions
- Support the monitoring of the implementation of all defined SipCo actions (manufacturing costs: iPC vs.ACT)
- Active participation at the selection of production processes with development team and process experts as well as steering and executing in the development of production methods taking the market development for production systems into account and check new systems for their suitability and applicability as set by Hella specific constrains and legal requirements
- Advice the development responsible concerning production related options / and improvements at new developments and modifications of products with regard to optimum cost and quality
- Support of the planning of production flows, production layouts and production equipment under consideration of needed / available capacities is done by the manufacturing engineer under consideration of cost, quality and due dates
- Ensure the procurement of production equipment (evaluation of quotations, technical discussion with potential suppliers, preparation of supplier decision and ordering, control progress during construction phase)
- Creation of the P-FMEA is created and that the assessment of the risks is done properly, and introduction of sustainable improvements is secured
- Support the preparing Run @Rate, obtaining assessment and all needed documentation for process approval Involvement in internal and external project related audits
- Preparing and updating production and quality related documentation according to the guidelines as well as creating and updating the production master data, ensuring training for relevant employees
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor in Engineering or a related field
- More than 1 years’ experience in Engineering or Manufacturing in Automotive sector (car manufacturer/Tier)
- Demonstrate product and process engineer experience
- Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, design of experiment, problem solving skills)
- Ability to develop strong customer relationships
- English fluent
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Network animation and influencing skills

- Ability to make quick and tough decision
