Process Engineering Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead process optimization and injection molding operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is critical for ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance while driving continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Process Control: Maintain stable injection processes and guarantee 95% productivity.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement SMED methodology for mold changes and TPM programs for machines and peripheral equipment.
- Develop and Qualify Processes: Oversee injection mold testing, process development, and qualification using scientific techniques and DoE.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate operational staff and provide technical training on injection molding equipment.
- Automation & Maintenance: Ensure optimal performance of automation systems, arm ends, and feeders.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.
- Kaizen Leadership: Champion process improvement activities and lead cross-functional teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in plastic injection processes (machines >1500 tons) or process engineering.
- 3+ years in end-of-arm automation.
- Skills:
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SMED, hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and engineering tools.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Languages: English required; Spanish or German a plus.
