Location: Stratford, ON (onsite) Salary Range: $62K-80K annually Vacancy Type: Existing Position

As our next Electrical PLC / Control Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing automation and control systems that support advanced manufacturing operations. Your expertise in PLC programming, robotics, industrial controls, and automation systems will be critical to driving operational efficiency, process reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems.
• Program PLCs including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and ControlLogix platforms.
• Program and maintain HMI and servo control systems.
• Program and support robotics and automation systems.
• Coordinate and supervise machine startups and process launches.
• Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Utilize and support WonderWare software applications.
• Train and support maintenance personnel on automation system operation, functionality, and programming.
• Mentor licensed electricians in PLC programming and troubleshooting techniques.
• Lead automation cell improvements and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to robotics and controls.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management, Environmental, Health & Safety systems and company policies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or College Diploma in a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in controls and data acquisition within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, HMI systems, servo controls, and industrial automation.
• Experience leading or participating in multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and industrial automation software.
• High level of integrity, dependability, and results orientation.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience serving as a technical lead on automation projects.
• Advanced experience with WonderWare or industrial SCADA systems.
• Experience supporting high-volume automotive manufacturing operations.
• Experience implementing robotics and automation continuous improvement projects.
