About this Job

Responsible for programming, optimization, and troubleshooting of robotic paint application processes in automated paint booths. This position focuses on ensuring high-quality finishes, process stability, and continuous improvement in coating performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Programming and offline/online adjustment of paint robots (Dürr / FANUC) for base coat, clear coat, and primer applications.
  • Optimization of paint parameters such as atomization, flow rate, shaping air, and electrostatic settings to meet quality standards.
  • Analysis and reduction of defects such as mottling, color variation (open color), runs, and overspray.
  • Support in process validation, trials, and implementation of engineering changes.
  • Collaboration with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Monitoring and improving KPIs related to first-time quality (FTQ), scrap, and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related).
  • Experience in robotic programming, preferably in paint applications.
  • Knowledge of automated paint systems and application processes.
  • Understanding of paint parameters, defect analysis, and process control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and process sheets.
  • Intermediate to advanced English level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Dürr and/or FANUC paint robots.
  • Knowledge of electrostatic paint application systems.
  • Experience with water-based paint systems (e.g., Axalta).
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial networks.
  • Experience in automotive paint shops (primer, base coat, clear coat).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
