Basic Job Functions:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who will take ownership of all mechanical and electrical functions and equipment at Nucor Towers & Structures Indiana (NTSIN).
NTSIN will feature state-of-the-art controls, automation, and robotics for advanced steel manufacturing, and the teammate will be responsible for maximizing machine productivity. The teammate must be able to support and troubleshoot the manufacturing equipment to keep the site producing and profitable.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade equipment and machines to improve production processes
- Troubleshoot non-functioning components including sensors, control components, and robots
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong understanding in the field of hydraulics.
- Must be mechanically sound.
- Strong understanding of 3-phase electricity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hydraulic systems
- Experience troubleshooting high and low voltage circuits
- Experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLCs
- Experience with ABB robotics
- Experience working in a greenfield environment
