MES / OT Integration Engineer (PLC – Industry 4.0)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain MES–PLC integrations (OPC-UA, Profinet, MQTT)
• Support production by troubleshooting MES/OT issues and minimizing downtime
• Ensure reliable data logging and traceability (Python, SQL, industrial data flows)
• Deploy and validate new MES stations and line integrations
• Optimize system performance, OEE, and industrial connectivity
• Collaborate with automation, IT, and manufacturing teams
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with OT standards

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of PLC communication (Siemens S7‑1500, OPC-UA, Profinet, MQQT).

• Strong knowledge of IT networking

• Solid understanding of MES system architecture

• Develop Python code

• Experience with industrial networking and troubleshooting.

• Ability to analyze SQL logs, datalogger output, MES job histories.

• Hands‑on problem solver with strong communication skills.

• Familiar with: Influx, TimeScale, PostgrSQL, NodeRed, PowerBi

Nice‑to‑Have

• Familiarity with GitLab, versioning of code and MES scripts.
