Mechatronic Engineer
Do you want to play an important role in complex instrumentation development? Are you looking for a diverse position in which you can apply your expertise to its full extent and increase your knowledge even further? In this role you will work in a multidisciplinary team on the development of Malvern Panalytical’s X-ray products, where you will be responsible for the mechatronic aspects of the system.
What are your responsibilities?
- Independently create solutions for mechatronic needs in our X-ray instruments
- You will work both on X-ray fluorescence spectrometers for elemental analysis as X-ray diffraction for structural analysis
- You will acquire and maintain knowledge of up-to-date design principles and technology and its potential application for Malvern Panalytical.
- You will propose and present realistic design options based on cost, market value and available capabilities that meet the stakeholder needs as much as possible
- You will define verification and validation strategies, write clear test plans and discuss this with suppliers if applicable.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanics or Systems & Control or another relevant field with specialization in the field of mechatronic system design.
- You can show broad experience with motion control for advanced mechatronics. You have strong analytical skills, and you have experience using simulation tools.
- You have a can-do mentality and are not afraid to do hands-on work on machines or in the laboratory.
- Affinity with analytical instrumentation and/or physical principles is a pre
- A drive to work in a high-tech environment with the ambition to contribute to the development and maintenance of high-tech analytical instruments.
- Strongly results-driven with respect to problem solving: Ability to understand and act as needed based on a problem description.
- You can express yourself in English and Dutch, or you are willing to learn this.
