Summary:

This position maintains gas meters, regulators and relief valves, RTU & SCADA equipment and related communication equipment, valves and valve operators, gas filters, and auxiliary equipment such as electrical generators in a manner to meet operational needs in compliance with partnership and regulatory requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:

  • Maintainand operate facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination
  • Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities.
  • Inspect and maintain all pressure and volumetric control equipment.
  • Collect gas samples in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines.
  • Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
  • Level B requires a minimum of 2 -4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
  • Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA,API and GPA requirements and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with customer base.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Some college or technical trade school is preferred.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently.
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
