Job Description/Responsibilities
Summary Description
Western Son is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing and production operations by ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems operate reliably and efficiently. This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on bottling lines, facility infrastructure, and related equipment while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on bottling lines, production equipment, facility systems, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Support safety initiatives by following maintenance safety standards, reporting hazards, and participating in inspections and investigations.
- Maintain and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities and special projects.
- Communicate equipment status, issues, and repair progress with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications/Requirements
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or graduation from Trade School is preferred
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Hands-on electrical experience, including PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work at heights up to 20 feet and safely operate industrial equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Apprenticeship completion, technical school training, or associate degree.
- Welding or fabrication experience is a huge plus
- Continuous growth and progression within prior maintenance roles.
- Allen-Bradley PLC or automation-related certifications.
