Position Overview-Tasks & Responsibilities:

As an interninthe RoboticsR&D,you will be a part of our team and support our engineers in developing the next generation oforthopedic/surgicalrobotics and navigation systems.Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Supportnumerouswork activities as part of the development process of new medical devices.

• Build concepts for medical devices and test setups.

• Design prototypes and coordinate manufacturing in the prototype shop.

• Coordinate and support mechanical tests

• Develop layouts and tolerance studies,participatein performing design evaluations (such as FEA, simulated use testing, drylabsand wet tissuelabsetc.)

• Writetechnical&scientificreports

• Present your results to your colleagues.

Qualifications -Educationand Experience:

• On-going university degree withMechanical, Electrical or Biomedical Engineeringbackground

Qualifications -Skills:

• Interest in the areas of product development and medical devices

• Fluent in EnglishandGerman

• Strong communication, organizational andinterpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a matrix organization andparticipateeffectively both independently and as part of multiple teams

• Capacity to work under strict timelines

• Skills design, mechanical testing and validation

• Basic CAD skills (preferablyNX orSolidworks)

• Basic anatomical & biomechanical understanding

• Basic statistical knowledge

• Basic programming experience in MATLAB, C++and/or Pythonisbeneficial

• Comfortable with reading and reviewing technical documents and drawings
