Industrial Engineering Intern

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in innovative product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Warehouse Operations team at the Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC) in Fort Myers, Florida, supports Domestic and International Fulfillment, Sets, Receiving, and Inventory operations. We are seeking a motivated intern pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic distribution environment. In this role, the successful candidate will support the planning, execution, documentation, and implementation of operational process improvement projects and initiatives. The individual will collaborate across multiple operational departments and partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve project objectives. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver results while effectively managing priorities and escalating issues in a timely manner.

This internship will run from May 2027 – August 2027. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Fort Myers, FL facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving Process Improvements, including supplier case quantity labeling.
• Loaner Replenishment with Locus Cobot Implementation.
• International Fulfillment projects to prepare for Locus Cobot implementation.
• Samples/Promotion/Literature Expansion Project.
• Additional projects to be identified.

Education and Experience:

• Progress towards a college degree in Industrial Engineering required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Experience or exposure with system SAP ECC preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

• PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
