Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated ICT & SCADA Design Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Melbourne. Our Project Delivery Group (PDG) helps clients with world-class project delivery from studies to building assets,operatingthe assets, and developing efficiencies through our people, methodologies, governance, and systems. Our engineering and project management and construction disciplines ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable delivery of projects globally across the metals and mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
We manage our clients’ entire project lifecycle from studies to building assets,operatingthe assets, and developing efficiencies. Join our team and become part of a community that strives for positive change-providing the best solutions for our clients’ toughest challenges!
As the successful candidate, you will:
Prepare discipline design, studies,calculationsand documentation to support feasibility studies,
Detailed engineering for supply and construction
Provide input into capital estimates and project schedules
Provide key discipline input to multi-discipline project teams
Participate in formal engineering review processes
Provision of on-site construction and commissioning technical support.
You bring to the role:
Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability tocomply withthe safety requirements
Experience in the design, specification, configuration, installation, expansion and optimisation of communication systems and associated infrastructure, such as wireless, fibre optic, CCTV, security and access control, ITnetworksand server rooms.
Good knowledge of the protocols used in industrial control systems.
Current knowledge of industry or regulatory standards and study criteria pertinent to ICTand SCADAsystems engineering ensuring compliance of design work with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures.
Demonstrated design and engineering experience in heavy industries such as energy,infrastructureor mining and metals.
Preferred experience in the investigation, planning and supervision of construction works and/or maintenance activities in operational facilities
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
5+ years of experience with CPEng or equivalent is desired.
Tobe eligible to apply, you must be an Australian / New Zealand citizen, hold permanent residency status, or alternatively, a Visa that entitles you to work in Australia.
