About this Job
INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled Gas pipeline valve and Actuator Maintenance Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair valves and other regulating devices used to control and measure the flow of oil and natural gas.
- Conduct regular inspections of valves and associated equipment to ensure optimal operation and to identify potential issues early.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing parts, fixing leaks, and applying corrosion protection measures to prolong the lifespan of pipeline systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies and respond to pipeline emergencies and coordinate repairs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Inspecting valve units for wear, defects, and replacing components, as necessary.
- Ensuring equipment lubrication meets manufacturer specifications before deployment.
- Assembling, dissemble, repair, maintain manual and Electro-hydraulic and pneumatic valves at district facilities.
- Executing rigging up/rigging down, loading, and unloading activities.
- Performing upkeep duties such as cleaning assigned work areas and maintaining PPE.
- Consulting with job-site supervisors for all job information and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Implementing and upholding safety protocols to prevent incidents, including environmental hazards.
- Coordinating with other team members and departments to facilitate efficient communication regarding pipeline operations and maintenance.
- Ability and knowledge to reference appropriate valve manuals for repair requirements.
- Exhibit an ability to effectively communicate with field and Control Room personnel regarding valve and instrumentation equipment requirements.
Requirements
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Associate Degree in mechanical required.
- 5-7 years experience working independently with valve operations.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in oil & gas industry.
- Prior knowledge of lubricants: classes, measurements, operating temperatures required.
- Be familiar with multi-vendor valve equipment.
- Proficient and knowledgeable in basic hand tools.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and moving heavy products.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Possess good communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word) with MS 365 package.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including clear communication, teamwork, respect for colleagues, and ability to collaborate effectively and work under pressure.
