Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Technician, you will ensure that our systems operate at peak performance while maximizing customer uptime.
Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation and commissioning of new systems (projects typically ranging from a few days up to 4 weeks), ensuring delivery within the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
Advanced System Expertise: Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical equipment, including hydraulic systems (up to 3,000 psi) and ultra-high-pressure fluid systems (up to 120,000 psi). Work with intensifiers, variable pumps, filtration systems, and related mechanical assemblies.
Controls & Electrical Support: Diagnose and repair mechanical-electrical systems, including electrical components ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC, as well as control systems such as PLC, HMI, and SCADA (e.g., RS Logix5000 / ControlLogix).
Preventive & Emergency Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and respond effectively to emergency or unplanned service calls to minimize customer downtime.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate inspection reports, service reports, time sheets, and expense reports in a timely manner.
Customer & Team Interaction: Serve as the primary on-site technical contact, providing clear communication, technical consultation, and quality reviews for customers. Collaborate closely with internal engineering and project management teams to resolve complex
Basic Qualifications
Technical Background: We are open to professionals with experience in:
Mechanical trade (master or advanced level)
Mechanical, electrical, or mechanical-electrical systems
Mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
Hydraulic systems
Industry Knowledge: Experience with High Pressure Processing (HPP) systems is desirable, but not required. HPP is a highly specialized field, and structured training will be provided.
Experience: Experience as a Field Service Technician is preferred, particularly with high-value, complex capital equipment.
Education: Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Applied Science (AAS), or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
Location: Remote position based in Mexico — preferably Puebla, though candidates may live anywhere in Mexico, provided they are located near an airport to support frequent travel.
Travel: Approximately 90% travel, both domestic and international, with assignments lasting up to 6 consecutive weeks.
Availability: High availability for frequent and extended travel is required.
Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle.
English Level: High proficiency in English (spoken and written) is desirable.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical CAD drawings, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic is a strong plus.
Experience using precision measurement tools.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in a food processing or industrial manufacturing environment is desirable.
Soft Skills: Proactive, self-driven, able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
Nice to Have: U.S. Visa.
