GalaxEye aims to shape the future of Satellite Image Acquisition, providing the most meaningful datasets, thus helping businesses and governments make data-driven decisions based on insights from satellite imagery. We will provide Satellite Imagery Datasets and Value-added services to Geospatial Analytics Companies and Infrastructure enterprises. At GalaxEye, we are working to build the best remote sensing satellites and also, we are researching various aspects of remote sensing.

As a member Embedded Systems Team, you will be the backbone of every electrical and electronic system like Electrical Power Systems, Data Acquisition Boards, On-Board Computer etc.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing and developing a optimized electrical power system (power generation, distribution and storage)

  2. Design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing of high reliability electronics for airborne and space missions.

  3. Understand Hardware requirements and collaborate with various teams to design and develop integrated electronic systems.

  4. Meeting with design and engineering teams to determine hardware requirements.

  5. Developing and maintaining Schematics for the architecture and PCB layout design for various embedded hardware systems

  6. Selecting and scouting various components for embedded hardware system

  7. Coordinating with partners for fabrication and testing of the system according to aerospace standards (AS9100)

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors/Masters in ECE/Electrical or other relevant scientific or engineering fields

  2. 0-2 years of hands-on experience in working with electronics and an understanding of the process from defining the requirements to subsystem level architecture, design, validation, and production

  3. Excellent conceptual knowledge of Analog Electronics and Power Electronics

  4. Strong working knowledge of best practices for military/space grade PCB layout and fabrication

  5. Solid understanding of timing principles, including clock domain crossing and timing closure.

  6. Strong debugging and analytical skills.

  7. Solid programming skills (C / C++)

  8. Hands-on industry experience with:

  9. Power budgeting and board-level component selection.

  10. Battery pack design, charge/discharge simulation, testing, and implementation.

  11. Solar panel MPPT and battery charger design.

  12. PCB Layout design, development, and fabrication.

  13. EMC/EMI compliant circuit design.

  14. Processor peripheral interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, high-speed serial I/F’s, PCI-Express, USB, MIPI, LVDS, storage).

  15. Lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc).

  16. Good communications skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Personality Traits:

  1. Excellent creative thinking and attention to detail

  2. Well versed in PCB design and assembly standards such as AS9100 is highly preferred.

  3. Ready to learn new concepts, stay up-to-date with the state-of-the-art in the field and implement them

  4. Ability to work within deadlines and dynamic work environment
