Job Summary:
An employee in this position is responsibleto lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, missile control instrumentation, electron tubes, test equipment, and machine tool numerical controls, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Safety
- Adhere to required safety precautions:
- Hydrogen/Nitrogen/Argon and other gases
- Working at high heights
- High electrical voltage
- Adhere to required safety precautions:
Read and understand the following
- Electrical schematics/Hydraulic schematics
- PLC/Ladder Logic
- Blue prints
- Operator Interfaces/HMI
- Machine manuals
- General operation of equipment
- All OSHA, state and township codes
- 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
- Technical documents
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform temperature profile of Sinter furnaces.
- Maintain PM and calibration logs.
- Calibrate electronic equipment according to calibration schedule.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
- Maintain electronic equipment.
Repair maintenance
- Repair or replaces Sinter muffles and heating elements.
- Repair and maintain all hall probes, gauss/flux meters, ovens, magnetizers, adjusting machines and PLC programs and machinery hardware.
- Requires contact with operators and outside vendors.
- Request reorder of consumables and spare parts.
- Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
- Resolve operational performance problems.
New Equipment/Modifications
- Fabricate/Install/Move
- Calculate and layout mechanical parts.
- Design electrical controls.
- Panel Wiring/Design
- Write and edit program code.
- Validate the operation.
- Train Operators.
- Create 3D parts and drawings with SolidWorks.
- Confer with personnel to resolve design or operational problems.
Support Measuring Temperature Coefficient for production
Support Process Improvement and Engineering projects

Qualifications:
- Must have 2-5 years of Electronics experience.
- Specialized training and/or certification preferred.
- PLC Programming Experience required.
- Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
