About this Job

About The Role

Imagine being at the core of real-world propulsion testing, where hardware, software, and high-performance systems come together. As an Electronics and Software Technician, you will work closely with the hardware and embedded firmware team to bring the Propulsion Test Rig to life, ensuring every connection, signal, and component performs exactly as it should. You will be hands-on with a movable propulsion test cell designed to validate turbomachinery, combustion devices, and full engine systems. This means working with a wide range of sensors and measurements, from pressure and temperature to vibrations, flow, and thrust, all while supporting a system that operates with liquid and gas fuels under strict safety conditions.

At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission-critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.

What You'll Do

  • Work with the systems, hardware, and software teams to continuously improve the performance and reliability of the propulsion test rig
  • Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams during initial testing phases, ensuring all components and systems operate as expected from the start
  • Support full system-level integration and testing, helping bring together mechanical, electronic, and software elements into a cohesive and functional setup
  • Contribute to cabling activities, ensuring clean, reliable, and well-structured connections across the entire test environment
  • Assist throughout testing phases, maintaining smooth operations and quickly addressing any issues that arise during execution
  • Support the debugging of hardware and software solutions, identifying root causes and helping implement effective fixes to keep the system running at its best

What You'll Need

  • CFC in Electronics or an equivalent technical background that gives you a solid foundation in electronic systems
  • Hands-on experience working with test benches, understanding how to set up, run, and troubleshoot real-world testing environments
  • Experience with C, C++, or similar low-level programming languages, allowing you to interact closely with hardware and embedded systems
  • Practical knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or data handling within testing and development workflows
  • Confidence using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators to analyze, validate, and debug signals
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, MODBUS, Ethernet, UART, PCIE, and USB is a strong plus
  • Experience testing power electronics and understanding how these systems behave under different conditions
  • Experience working with pressure and temperature sensors, especially in dynamic or high-performance environments
  • Understanding of embedded Linux and Yocto, enabling you to work within embedded software ecosystems
  • Knowledge of DC/DC converter design for higher power applications is considered a plus
  • English communication skills at CEFR level B2, both written and spoken, allowing you to collaborate effectively in an international team.

Who You Are

You are someone who enjoys working close to the hardware, understanding how systems behave in real conditions, and making them better. You have a solid foundation in electronics and feel comfortable moving between wiring, testing, and low-level programming without hesitation. You are curious about power electronics and sensors, and you understand their importance in high-performance environments. You pay attention to detail, especially when working with systems that involve pressure, temperature, and high power, where accuracy and safety matter.
