Position Overview

Fujifilm Dimatix, Inc. located in West Lebanon, NH has this internship opportunity for the Summer of 2026. The Electrical Engineer Intern (FIIS) will be an opportunity to work within a diverse engineering discipline. FIIS uses a combination of in-house and manufactured electrical components to create industrial inkjet printers. The candidate will have exposure to AC-DC switch mode converters, various fluid and temperature sensors, MCU, FPGA, PLC, and PC based control systems. This position’s base responsibilities will be reviewing PCBA design bills-of-materials, collecting manufacturers data to enter into the FIIS material planning software (SAP). Depending on abilities, there could be basic schematic design drafting, and engineering change order tasks. The position desires a candidate to have experience with electrical assemblies and material revisions, basic knowledge and comprehension of electrical component datasheets and schematics. Some prior knowledge of part and assembly 3D modeling in CAD (Solidworks experience) is preferable. Some knowledge of PCB schematic design and layout tools is also desirable (Altium Designer). The candidate will use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Electrical schematic and BOM review

  • Review and update PCBA MCU/FPGA programming and test procedures

  • PCBA BOM verifications

  • PCBA BOM entry into MRP system (SAP)

  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Use Excel, VBA and statistics in analysis and correlation of data.

  • Write and present reports to engineering teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:

  • Technical college level courses completed related to electrical engineering.

  • Basic computer skills including the use of standard office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team, as well as individually.

  • Must be an initiative-taker and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Must be highly organized.

  • Must be an adaptive person.

  • Familiarity with schematic symbology

  • Demonstrated experience using statistics and statistical tools. Familiarity with statistical methods.

  • Critical thinking skills utilizing science and engineering to arrive at practical solutions.

  • Ability to work and multi-task across several functional departments or across multiple projects.

  • Eager to work in a fast-paced hands-on environment.

  • Willingness to be mentored by senior engineers

DESIRED:

  • Must be an initiative-taker

  • Familiarity with PCBA construction practices

  • Schematic and PCB design tool familiarity (Altium)

  • Solidworks, AutoCAD, or equivalent 3D modeling system.

  • Read, comprehend and modify technical documents.

  • Ability to troubleshoot failures in product and processes

  • Photo manipulation skills
