The Opportunity

We are working with a custom machinery manufacturer that builds one-of-a-kind automated systems for industrial clients across North America.

This is a high-ownership controls role.

You will be responsible for the full controls architecture on each machine — from specification and programming through system integration and on-site commissioning.

Every system is different. Every build is hands-on.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Program PLCs (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley – CompactLogix)

  • Develop and configure HMIs

  • Design control schematics using AutoCAD

  • Specify hardware (PLCs, VFDs, servos, sensors, safety systems)

  • Integrate systems with other machinery and production lines

  • Support testing, commissioning, and customer startup (~15% travel)

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineering team


What We’re Looking For

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience

  • Hands-on PLC programming experience (Rockwell preferred)

  • Experience with industrial automation / machinery

  • Strong understanding of control systems and system integration

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
