The Automation Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of robotics and automation equipment at CNC Solutions LLC. This position is primarily focused on executing successful field installations, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of both robotic systems and their peripheral equipment. The technician will also be responsible for mechanical and electrical assembly and debugging in the shop, as well as breaking down custom machines and automation cells for shipment. Additionally, the role involves onsite layout, installation, and commissioning of these systems. Attention to detail is crucial, as the technician will be expected to efficiently fill out field service reports, preventative maintenance checklists, and equipment documentation, ensuring that all operational standards and client specifications are met.

To be successful as an Automation Technician at CNC Solutions LLC, candidates should possess a robust set of technical skills and hands-on experience. Preferred qualifications include training in mechanical repair for FANUC, ABB, and/or Motoman systems, although this is not a strict requirement. Experience in machine buildingparticularly in electrical and mechanical assemblyis essential, along with familiarity in basic programming for FANUC Robots or similar brands. A strong troubleshooting background is important; candidates should have an understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) screens and machine tool interfacing with peripheral equipment. Additionally, the ability to read and interpret mechanical, fluid power, and electrical principles and prints is critical.

Familiarity with various communication protocols such as Ethernet I/P and I/O link will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role, enabling you to contribute meaningfully to our innovative and customer-focused team.
