JOB SUMMARY: Position is responsibility for the successful development, implementation, and sustainability of automation systems in support of production.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
- 100% Work with Suppliers, Engineering, and Operations to identify and implement automation systems that contribute to overall production performance and requirements. • Support the automation department in the development and implementation of automation systems. • Work with the various production employees to assist in identifying and implementing automation opportunities on existing processes that contribute to the overall efficiency, safety and quality of operations to drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce manufacturing costs. • Assist in training the production employees, Technicians, and Cell Engineers on new and existing automation. This includes one on one trainings & group trainings for new and existing automation. • Perform preventative maintenance on automation equipment to maximize equipment efficiency and longevity. Minimum Qualification Standards: • Associates degree or a minimum of five years experience in a related field is preferred. Candidate must be driven by self-growth. Must have reliable independant transportation as frequent daily travel between multiple facilities is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Knowledge of single phase and 3 phase power.Experience with Electrical and Pneumatic controls. Experience with vision inspection equipment. Mechanical apptitude and blueprint reading experience. • Experience working with robots and robotic systems. HMI and PLC programming background. Experience with computer controlled systems.
