About this Job

The Algorithm Engineer will lead the development of thermal management product algorithms. This role is responsible for integrating software control and protection strategies according to customer requirements, considering the operation modes and boundaries of key components. The engineer will ensure that the software delivers required features, with a focus on COP (Coefficient of Performance), NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), and robust reliability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Deep understanding of PMSM control methods, with experience in IPMSM preferred.

· Define internal software requirements and complete module design for TMM

· Implement and integrate algorithms for related projects based on MATLAB modules.

· Develop advanced algorithms such as:

- Torque compensation

- Harmonic injection

- Zero-speed current closed-loop startup

- Sensorless control strategies for TMM, including Sliding Mode Observer (SMO), High-Frequency Injection, and Extended Flux Observer.

· Lead start-up phase optimization for sensorless systems under varying load conditions.

· Perform comparative analysis of sensorless algorithms in real-world applications and test bench environments to validate robustness and efficiency.

· Support eMotor/Heater parameter mapping tests and perform system calibration.

· Collaborate on FCT/EOL specifications with system and hardware teams.

· Strictly comply with EHS rules and behavioral guidelines in the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

· Proficient in sensorless FOC algorithms, with hands-on experience in Flux Observer, SMO, and High-Frequency Injection techniques.

· Familiarity with Extended Flux Observer and its application in scroll compressor systems.

· Experience in algorithm benchmarking and validation on test benches and in-field conditions.

· Strong knowledge of BLDC/PMSM motor control.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in TMM SW control.

· Experience with DSP development, preferably TI C2000 microcontroller

· Knowledge of Model-Based Design (MBD) is a plus.

· Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

· Good English skills, both spoken and written, for daily business communication.

KEY COMPETENCIES

· Strong Algorithm knowledge of TMM controllers.

· Experience with SOP (Start of Production) TMM programs.

· Key understanding of TMM NVH and COP.

· Ability to compare and validate sensorless strategies across different operating conditions.
