As an Advanced Field Service Engineer, you will be the premier technical contact for Honeywell’s customers in the Oil & Gas and process industries. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS). The ideal candidate is a highly proactive, customer-oriented expert with a deep commitment to site safety and operational excellence, acting as the face of Honeywell at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety System Expertise: Lead the troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration of Safety Systems primarily Honeywell Safety Manager/FSC.
  • Customer & Site Support: Work on-site at Oil & Gas plants and customer sites, acting as the primary technical interface to build strong rapport and deliver proactive solutions.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Execute startup, testing (FAT/SAT), and commissioning of new safety and control systems.
  • DCS Integration: Leverage strong safety systems (SIS) knowledge to integrate with Distributed Control System (DCS), process controls (e.g., Experion PKS).
  • Problem Resolution: Diagnose complex hardware/software issues under pressure to minimize plant downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of maintenance, configuration changes, and incident reports.
  • Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to site HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in field service engineering within the Oil & Gas or heavy process industry.
  • Safety System Knowledge: Deep, practical experience with Functional Safety Systems (SIS).
  • Customer Orientation: Proven track record of managing customer interfaces, building rapport, and driving satisfaction.
  • Commitment: Highly approachable, committed to project completion, and willing to work on-site at plant locations

We Value (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Certification: TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer Certification (TUV FSEng)
  • SIS Knowledge: Extensive experience with Honeywell Safety System and DCS.
  • Technical Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • Proactive Attitude: Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of assignments.
